M56 – Cape of Good Hope Cover from King William Town to Regent Park, London 1878 (Lovely embossed Louisa monogram on the flap)

Cape of Good Hope. Battered cover, sent from King William Town, Cape Town, Ju 26 1878 to Regent Park, London. Brown receiving stamp on front (rather than the usual reverse) dated 26 Jy 78, so it took a month to travel.   Stamps are from the 1871 to 1876 series, watermark CC. Their postmark is unclear but appears to be numerical. A lovely embossed Louisa monogram on the flap.
