We are incredibly proud to announce the launch of our new auction website!
We have been trading as KJ Stamps for nearly twenty years now, at stamps fairs and on eBay, but felt that the time had come to expand operations and create an online home for KJ Stamps.
The director of KJ Stamps is Keith Jupp, who has been a collector since the early 1950s and started as a stamp dealer in 1990 at the old Orpington Village Hall. He has subsequently attended fairs at Azelea Hall Beckenham, Langley Park, Sidcup, Bexley and Croydon, and joined the Philatelic Traders Society (PTS) in 2004.
Having been proposed for PTS membership, KJ Stamps Ltd took stalls at Stampex in 2004 and 2005. Our enthusiasm was well noted and we trust that a number of philatelists will remember us from those events. We also took a stand at the Horticultural Halls in conjunction with Trevor Jupp, who sadly died in 2019.
KJ Stamps Ltd was incorporated in 2003 with Keith’s eldest daughter, Karen. They attended Stampex at the Business Design Centre in Islington during 2004-2005 and subsequently developed an eBay store. Together they currently attend five fairs per year at Christ Church Hall in Orpington, and two further fairs at Beckenham (now moved to Shirley).
Karen, has been collecting stamps since the late 1970s and, together with Keith’s late father (always known as Pop), joined Keith with a six-foot table at his first fair in 1990. Keith’s long-suffering wife was most surprised to find that they appeared to bring back everything that they had taken with them, but the sales generated enough funds for a family Chinese takeaway!!
In addition to the auction, it would be a great pleasure to see you at an Orpington Stamp Fair, but if that is not possible please also look at our eBay store.
